A double for apprentice jockey Keith Yeung Ming-lun has helped trainer Derek Cruz maintain his excellent run of form with new stable recruits, and bolstered Hussler's unusual claim to fame for leading trainer John Size. Hussler has won three times for Size, but none of his victories have come with regular stable rider and perennial champion Douglas Whyte in the irons. Whyte has ridden the gelding in nine of his 12 runs. Yeung moved to 25 wins after booting home Hussler in the Li Cup (1,400m) and Namjong Hunter in the MacWhinnie Cup (1,400m). Namjong Hunter had his first run for Cruz and boosted the trainer's reputation for getting his new stable additions to win on their first appearance after he notched up two wins with Healthy Contender under similar circumstances. 'I couldn't understand why he hasn't been winning. He has given me a good feel in the mornings and, now that I have taught him to settle, he has the makings of a genuine Class Three horse.'
