Multiglory has stamped himself as a potential top grade sprinter after claiming his fourth win for the season, with both his trainer Tony Cruz and jockey Matthew Chadwick hinting that the best may still be to come. In a re-match with Invinciblekindness, the only horse to have bettered him, Multiglory was able to dictate the speed and drive clear to a popular victory in The Arculli Trophy (1,000m) carrying 130 pounds as topweight. 'I hope he can be up there in the feature sprint races next season, he loves the straight, but I also think he would go well at Happy Valley if that is what the owner wants,' Chadwick said. 'He would be very hard to run down at the Valley with the short straight, but the way he is climbing through the ratings he may not get the chance to go there.' 'Hopefully the handicapper won't crunch him in the ratings, because I don't think the time was all that special, even though the margin to the third horse was pretty big. I just let him run the way he was happy, nobody could really match us out in front and he was able to keep giving all the way to the line,' he added. Cruz is hopeful of Multiglory being as good as his father, King Of Danes, whom Cruz trained to a Group One win in the 2001 Centenary Sprint Cup and a rare victory over Fairy King Prawn down the Sha Tin straight. 'He is by King Of Danes, who I trained and had a lot of success with, he really was a speedster and I hope Multiglory can continue to follow in his father's footsteps,' Cruz said. 'We were hoping for the good firm ground, this horse is the same as his father and just loves a hard track. The main opposition Invinciblekindness was the same but that horse loves the cut out of the ground and that was the difference the day he beat us on yielding ground.' Chadwick agreed with the trainer's assessment and admitted he was anxiously following the weather reports in the lead up to the s race. 'If the track didn't dry up today, he probably would have been beaten,' Chadwick said. 'If it was wet, or we had any more rain this morning it would have worked against us and played right into the hands of Invinciblekindness,' Chadwick said. 'He's going nicely, I still believe he'll be better next season, but he was tested a bit more today and really fought off the other horse all the way to the line.'
