Guest of honour at birthday bash has own reason to party
Apart from the toners and lipsticks, birthdays seemed to be the most talked-about item off-the-shelf at the Kiehl's event last Thursday.
It was the sixth anniversary of the opening of the beauty brand's Russell Street shop, and one day earlier guest of honour, model Jennifer Tse Ting-ting (pictured below), celebrated the birth of a new nephew. Tse's sister-in-law Cecilia Cheung Pak-chi gave birth to her second son with actor Nicholas Tse Ting-fung.
The local paparazzi had been camped out at both the hospital and the couple's home for a week in the hope of getting that precious shot (the Tse's even had to call in police out of safety concerns), so there's no chance the media are going to give Jennifer Tse a break.
'He's very good-looking, but his face was swollen a little bit so I can't really tell if he looks more like Nicholas or Cecilia,' said Tse, who visited Cheung at the hospital earlier with actor boyfriend Andy On Chi-kit. 'Both the mother and baby are doing fine. Nicholas was obviously very excited to be a father again. He couldn't stop smiling.'
But Tse says she didn't get a chance to take any photos of the baby, who's still not named, because she was busy playing with Lucas Tse, the celebrity couples' first born, who is now three years old.
'I had to keep Lucas occupied so he won't feel ignored and loved less.'
