The Liberal Party staged a protest with residents at East Tsim Sha Shui MTR Station yesterday to urge the company not to cancel monthly tickets for East Rail and West Rail passengers. The concessions will expire at the end of next month. The party said termination of the concessions would affect 80,000 passengers who will have to spend at least 50 per cent more on commuting. It also called for an extension of the monthly tickets to cover the Tung Chung Line.
