There is a song called Maybe This Time with the line, 'Everybody loves a winner, so nobody loves me.' It is true that everybody loves winners - only the athletes on the podium get the praise.
But that is no reason to be sad when you lose. In any competition, only one person can be the winner. But that does not mean you should feel bad about losing. Nobody can come out on top every time.
When you lose, don't hate and blame yourself. Love yourself and the people around you. People who do not love themselves do not know how to accept love. There are many people who love and cherish you. You have to believe you are special to somebody. This should give you courage. The true value of life is love, not endless competitions.
If you lose, accept it and be ready for the next challenge. As the song reminds us, 'Maybe this time I will win.' Have hope and remember once a loser is not always a loser. One day, you will be the one on top.
