Knight on Wyndham serviced apartments, which reopened last week with a new residential unit and an additional two-floor party area called the 'Knight Club', has one of the most unusual design themes in town.
Although its strategic location overlooking Lan Kwai Fong and Wyndham Street is obviously a major advantage, GR8 Leisure Concept, which operates the apartments, has always marketed the units primarily on the basis of their unique decor, which draws inspiration from a bizarre juxtaposition of themes from medieval chivalry and pop art. Each floor has a name related to the knightly code of conduct, including 'Chivalry', 'Courage', 'Dignity', 'Gallantry' 'Glory', 'Integrity' 'Loyalty' and 'Justice', while each apartment is named after a historic or mythical European or Asian figure. The new apartments honour medieval knight Hugues de Payens and the influential American graphic designer Paul Rand.
The Knight Club can be booked for private parties and has a karaoke facility.
Knight on Wyndham now has 10, one-per-floor, one-bedroom serviced apartments, each 629 sqft, with bedroom, living room, bathroom and a fully-fitted kitchenette. Tenants can also enjoy broadband connectivity and entertainment systems, including a 32-inch high-definition LCD television, Nintendo Wii and a DVD recorder and player. Services available to tenants include 24-hour security, a concierge, maid service, dry-cleaning and laundry, and business centre services. Apartments are available for rent for a minimum of one month at HK$30,000 per month.
