Careers associated with earth form two major groups. The first comprises those working in agriculture, animal farming, wheat, rice and maize production, veterinary medicine, zoology, geology, geography and meteorology. The second group comprises professionals in property development, construction, real estate, fung shui and mining. Earth lies at the centre and is associated with trust, assistance and mediation. Consultancy, management, secretarial services, accountancy, data recording and office services are considered earth-related careers. Another group associated with earth-related careers are those working in funeral services, funeral parlours, mortuaries, cemeteries and columbariums, and anyone who sells or manufactures coffins. If you work in an earth-related field, your business card should contain colours that represent fire or earth elements. Fire elements give birth and support the earth element; these colours include red, orange, vermillion, magenta, mauve, purple and pink. Colours representing the earth element include brown, cream, beige, yellow and other earth tones. If you include colours that are not recommended, the presence of positive colours will negate any ill effects. For instance, if green is present on your card together with yellow, the interaction is that of wood attacking earth. By introducing or including colours of the fire element, such as red and orange, the negative effects of the wood element are reduced. Instead of attacking earth, wood now produces fire, which then forms earth. This is the final part of a three-part series on fung shui and business cards.
