Singer-actor Jacky Cheung Hok-yau (right) seemed animated at a Wednesday evening exhibition of antique perfume bottles organised by his composer friend Leon Ko Sai-cheung (left) in Central's ifc mall. And no wonder - the 48-year-old has just recovered from a viral infection.

'My younger daughter got sick first, probably infected by her classmates, and then gave it to the whole family,' Cheung said. 'Now we've all recovered.'

Cheung nodded and smiled when Ko introduced the hundred-odd precious fragrance bottles at the exhibition's opening reception, attended by Ko's friends including Cantonese opera master Pak Suet-sin and actress Connie Chan Po-chu.

The crooner said he had yet to make plans for Father's Day, but that he had already received a gift from the younger of his two daughters - a handmade card with an inscription: 'I love you, do you love me?' Cheung wasted no time in answering his four-year-old's question. 'Of course, I told her right away that I would love her always,' he said.

We also spotted singer-actress Josie Ho Chiu-yee at the event and asked if she was as open with her feelings for her casino mogul father Stanley Ho Hung-sun. 'We don't have to say it out loud,' she said. 'We know how much we love each other from the bottom of our hearts.'

She said her recipe for Father's Day would be to make her dad his favourite cheesecake. Lucky dad.
