Neo-Neon spends millions on new plant

Neo-Neon Holdings, which operates the world's largest decorative lighting business, is investing 400 million yuan (HK$456.8 million) on a new manufacturing plant in Guangdong that will produce 2 billion yuan worth of light-emitting diode (LED) wafers and chips annually by 2013. Billion Choice Trading, a subsidiary of Kowloon-based Neo-Neon, will set up and start the first phase of production by the venture to be called Guangdong Silver Rain Opto Semiconductors at the Jiangmen Industrial Park in November.
