Jay Chou's panda suit fails to distract from Jolin Tsai rumours

Media turned out en masse at Taiwanese star Jay Chou Jie-lun's (pictured) press conference last Friday at the Harbour Plaza 8 Degrees Hotel, to promote the television series Pandaman, that Chou directed, produced and starred in.

But rather than talking about Chou's superhero-in-a-panda-suit show, which is due to screen on TVB in September, the real buzz was about his recent romance with singer Jolin Tsai Yi-lin.

Rumours started swirling after Chou invited Tsai to dance with him at his Taipei concert earlier this month. Chou reportedly gave Tsai a ring as a gift.

'That's absolutely impossible,' the 31-year-old said.

'I think the rumours are ridiculous. How can they come up with something like that? I don't even go to jewellery shops.

'We are both very busy and don't have time for a relationship. I think we are better off as friends,' Chou said.
