THE City Contemporary Dance Company 2 (CCDC 2) will stage three performances at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) before the end of the month. ''1245 High Noon at the Atrium'' is a joint presentation of CCDC 2 and the Visual Arts Society and Dance Society of the HKUST. At the podium of the university's main entrance, a 30-metre catwalk stage will be set up on which more than 30 performers will work. Performers include CCDC 2 dancers and students from the university. Guests include singer-songwriter May Ip, Cable TV's Derek Li and actor-dancer Victor Ma. Under an open environment, the setting and the performance will be integrated into the daily routine of life at the university. Themes on wedding, funeral, fantasy in classrooms and memories of the old days will be integrated in a 30-minute programme with dance and theatrical scenes. CCDC 2 is a new branch of the CCDC set up in February to help the company in dance education and development. ''1245 High Noon'' will be staged at 12.45 pm tomorrow and on Thursday and Friday. The performance is open to the public, and no admission fee is required. For details, call 329-7803.
