Three appear on swindling charges

Three men appeared in the Eastern Court yesterday in relation to a regional lottery and investment scam believed to have swindled HK$21 million out of 160 victims. Decoration worker Yeung Ho-Kwan, 49, and car park caretaker Yu Xin-wah, 55, allegedly conspired to defraud Chen Yuhui of HK$3.9 million. Yu and Ng Chi-hang, 28, were also charged with dealing with proceeds of an indictable offence. They did not enter pleas and were remanded in custody.
