HONG Kong's hopes at this weekend's Far East International Freeboxing Championship in Shenzhen lie with 20-year-old Suen Kin-wah, who will face a mainland champion in the biggest bout of his career. The Hong Kong Boxing Association, trying to rebuild following controversy surrounding its executive chairman and sacked ICAC operations director Alex Tsui Ka-kit, said the event would be the biggest ever held in the region. Suen, Hong Kong lightweight kick-boxing champion, faces on Saturday Wang Jian-min who trains full time with the Beijing Armed Police in one of five bouts involving local kick-boxers. ''This will be by far the largest tournament we've been to, and my toughest fight, but I'm optimistic,'' said Suen, a popular Association fighter known for his exceptionally long frog-like legs - a potent weapon in the sport. Tsui said the event would involve teams from China, Macau, Thailand, Italy, Taiwan, Japan and Canada.
