Actress Xiong Dailin takes a few 'safety precautions' with dress

Lynn Xiong Dailin was meant to be a judge at a Harbour City model-recruiting contest on Monday. Instead, the 29-year-old actress became the centre of attention in a dress that relied a lot on strategic sewing. 'Of course, I took some safety precautions to make sure the dress fits,' the mainland-born star of the Yip Man saga said. 'I don't mind looking sexy as long as the dress fits my style.'

Xiong seemed unimpressed by the 15 catwalk contenders at the Tsim Sha Tsui shopping mall's Style Model Hunt event, however. She seemed to spend much of the afternoon talking to reporters or her fellow celebrity judges. Xiong gave us a tip on modelling: 'Having a perfect body is important, but confidence and the right attitude also matter.'

She hummed and hawed when asked whether she liked the studio-padded fat-boy look of her rumoured boyfriend singer-actor Aaron Kwok Fu-sing in his new film City Under Siege. 'That's a very special look,' she said. 'But I can't really tell until I've watched the movie. I have only seen his film stills in newspapers. I think he looks just fine the way he is now.'
