Doraemon, the resourceful robotic cat from the popular Japanese manga and animation series, turns 40 this year.
The blue-and-white cat with the endless supply of tools in his belly bag has been a favourite for many years in Asia.
To help celebrate the anniversary, Tsuen Wan Plaza shopping centre is hosting The Mega-World of Doraemon Movie exhibition featuring memorable clips from the cartoon and other exhibits. It runs from today until August 30.
Giant models of 12 key Doraemon characters will be displayed alongside 200 historical artefacts.
This is the first time that most of the exhibits have been shown outside Japan - for example, the secret manuscripts of the series' writers Fujiko F. Fujio and Fujiko A. Fujio, and articles about the character.
Visitors will also see Doraemon's home and his time travel machine.
