If you are looking for information about Britain's schools, a new virtual education exhibition will save you the trouble of visiting crowded events. The online platform, the first of its kind in Hong Kong, is offered by the British Council to provide information about student life in the country. Interactive features allow users to chat with those now studying there. 'Virtual booths' set up by 20 institutions, including the University of London and the University of Leeds, offer detailed information about the courses. About 20 live chat sessions will be held online between July 28 and August 18. The sessions will be hosted by schools on a wide range of topics, such as tips on applying to top British universities. Visitors can also chat directly with university consultants or leave messages, which they will answer within 48 hours. Kathryn Chan, education marketing manager of British Council Hong Kong, said: 'Apart from joining seminars and choosing courses at the virtual exhibition, students can also come to the Education UK exhibition on August 21 and 22 at the Hong Kong Exhibition Centre, China Resources Building [in Wan Chai], to talk to representatives from even more universities, attend seminars and enrol on the spot.' From July 28, you can visit the new platform www. educationuk.org.hk/virtual_exhibition For more information about the virtual exhibition and the exhibition at China Resources Building, visit www.education uk.org.hk/exhibition
