Fashion brand Max&Co opened its flagship store on Tuesday night at iSquare in Tsim Sha Tsui, with guests including mainland actress Zhang Jingchu, local actress Josie Ho Chiu-yi and Beijing indie rockers Queen Sea Big Shark. Although Zhang and Ho are a familiar sight at the city's glamorous fashion events, Queen Sea Big Shark, known for their shaggy hair, skinny jeans and Converse chucks, stuck out like a sore thumb. But when Ho and the post-punk rockers took the stage (right), the band was right at home. Singer Fu Han, whose short hair and quirky stage presence draws comparisons to Karen O, front woman of US rock band the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, soon got the crowd dancing, and that's no mean feat at an event where people prefer to be seen looking cool and composed. Zhang, Ho and the rockers will also participate in a Max&Co photo shoot next month, with the photos to be displayed at a charity exhibition in Hong Kong. The artists will apparently sport two looks for the shoots - normal and eccentric. But for Queen Sea Big Shark, who are always eccentric, who knows what we can expect?
