An 80-year-old patient with legionnaires' disease was in critical condition yesterday, the Centre for Health Protection said. He developed shortness of breath, fever and a cough on July 26 and was admitted to Prince of Wales Hospital on August 2. A centre spokesman said he had no recent travel history and his family members were not affected. It is the 16th case of legionnaires' disease this year. There were 37 last year, the spokesman said.
