I AM writing to express my anger at the Iconographer's article on the ''brown padded bra'' (Sunday Morning Post Magazine, April 24). The article is racist and sexist; what women wear as their under-clothes should not be the subject of criticism and sarcasm in a family magazine.
I find it surprising Chinese women have become the subject of criticism for allegedly not knowing ''what to do with their breasts''. The writer goes on to suggest Western women know better. I think both Western and Chinese women know better than the writer. Not all women can afford a nice, expensive bra. If the brown padded bra can do the job, so be it.
I understand in Britain there is a law to prohibit racist comments in newspapers. It seems a similar law should be introduced in Hong Kong.
