2009 Tony Chan Chun-chuen loses bid to claim Nina Wang Kung Yu-sum's estimated HK$100 billion fortune in a probate battle against her Chinachem Charitable Foundation. The case was the talk of the town, with Chan claiming he had a 15-year love affair with Wang. Chinachem said Chan's 'will' was a fung shui will to generate good luck, not a legal document to claim Wang's fortune. The trial also heard of a number of rituals Chan performed for Wang, including digging 80 fung shui holes and planting a 'life base' for her. April 2009 A 51-year-old fung shui master previously jailed for four years and eight months for luring young women to have sex with him, using divination as an excuse, is jailed for two years for sexually assaulting a 20-year-old woman after being released from jail. He told the woman she was possessed by a spirit and took her to his flat in Canton Road, where he told her to remove her clothes and painted 'spells' on her body in red paint, during which he sexually assaulted her. January 2010 A dump truck driver is jailed for six years and nine months for duping a 19-year-old pseudo-model in 2007 into having sex with him. He told the woman he was a Mao Shan master and the sex acts would make her more successful in show business. He told her she had to perform the ritual nine times to make the 'magic' work, but the model became pregnant. She had an abortion and reported the case to police. The man performed similar rituals with six other women. February 2010 A 44-year-old retired soldier from the People's Liberation Army, who claimed to be a fung shui master and seduced a 47-year-old woman into having sex, is jailed for four years and eight months. The man told the woman that she lacked yang qi and she needed to pay him HK$1.55 million to pray for luck and fortune for her. The man lured her to have sex with him eight times. Two other men involved in the case fled.
