Hysan names Hennessy Centre project

Hysan Development yesterday announced the name of its Hennessy Centre redevelopment in Causeway Bay - Hysan Place. The project, at 500 Hennessy Road, will be a 40-storey office and retail building with a total gross floor area of 710,000 square feet. It will provide at least 15 retail floors. The developer has appointed Jones Lang LaSalle as the office leasing agent, while Savills will handle retail space. The shopping centre is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2012. Hysan demolished the Hennessy Centre in 2006. Hysan also began its renovation of the Leighton Centre in Causeway Bay this month. It is expected to be completed by mid-2011, with the first phase of the office project to be finished in October.
