A disinfectant that can kill almost all bacteria within minutes and remain effective for a month has been developed by researchers at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Body heat from someone touching the coating causes it to release the disinfectant. It is transparent, colourless, and odourless. Test results show it can kill 99.9 per cent of bacteria within one minute, 99 per cent of human swine flu virus within three minutes.
