'UFO' was street lamp, observatory says

The Hong Kong Observatory said yesterday that an apparent unidentified flying object seen late on Wednesday night was actually a street lamp. The observatory had received eight reports, three of sightings near the entrance of Tai Lam Tunnel. Something like a UFO was also seen on a weather photo taken at Cheung Chau by the observatory. A spokesman said it was caused by light from a nearby lamp reflected by a protective glass in front of the camera.
