HEAR famous tunes and remember great films - when the Melody Quintet gives a concert of popular movie theme songs and other romantic music at the Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre Theatre on May 15 at 8 pm.
The quintet, formed in 1982, comprises musicians from the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. The group has a repertoire ranging from classics to pop music.
The Melody Quintet gives frequent performances, and has also given concerts in China and Japan. Two months ago the group performed at Government House.
The concert programme will include popular movie themes such as Somewhere My Love from Doctor Zhivago, and Speak Softly Love from The Godfather, as well as much-loved classics like The Blue Danube Waltz.
