Raymond boosts profit

ELECTRICAL home appliance maker Raymond Industrial reported a 46.6 per cent jump in profit to $38.63 million from $26.35 million for the year ended December 31.

Earnings per share were 16 cents, an increase of 45 per cent from 11 cents in 1992. A final dividend of eight cents was recommended, bringing the year's total payout to 12 cents. Turnover rose 14.3 per cent to $401.93 million, from $351.5 million a year ago.
