A 22-year-old man was seen leaving the station carrying the clothes at about 4.35am. He dropped the uniforms after being chased by officers and was caught near the station.

The man sneaked into the station through a back door before 4.30am where there was no guard. The rear entrances of police stations have an automated security system with barriers, intercom and security cameras.

He got through a barrier to the car park of the police station. A security pass is needed to unlock the door.

The suspect went to the third floor where he stole dirty uniforms hanging outside a laundry room.
