Four senior managers at a subsidiary of Chongqing Broadcasting Group (CBG) have been investigated in the southwestern municipality's widening probe into triads and corruption. The Southern Metropolis News reported that the new probe had brought down Zhou Xiting, general manager of Chongqing Television Media, Jin Yue, the deputy general manager, finance director Liu Ying and Qin Meng, the general manager of the advertising department. They were either put under shuanggui, a form of party discipline, or interrogated by police in connection with wrongdoings in its advertising for a real estate group. CBG president Li Xiaofeng said the case was being investigated by police but did not elaborate. Liu Jianchun , the deputy head of the municipality's propaganda department, was investigated in July for allegedly serving as a middleman in a bribery case after the Chongqing Hilton Hotel was shut down temporarily over prostitution, drugs and corruption. There has been speculation that Liu Jianchun named a senior manager at real estate firm Chongqing Huayu Group as an accomplice during interrogation. The real estate manager, reportedly connected with Chongqing Television Media through advertising, said Qin was also involved. Qin then named his colleagues as accomplices.
