THE daughter of one of Hong Kong's most senior judges has been arrested for alleged shoplifting in Central.
Yasmin Bokhary, 16, one of three daughters of Appeal Court judge Mr Justice Kemal Bokhary, was caught allegedly stealing a shirt worth $1,100 by staff at Seibu department store in Pacific Place on Saturday.
The incident occurred just after 2 pm when the girl was allegedly seen putting the shirt into a leather bag without paying for it.
She was stopped by the department store's security staff.
Bokhary was released on bail of $500 from Central police station and told to report back on Wednesday.
Mr Justice Bokhary, 45, became the only local judge on Hong Kong's highest tribunal when Sir Derek Cons retired in March last year. He was born and educated in the territory.
