Tokyo-based artists and couple Hiromi and Mitsunori Asakura are typical urban jungle dwellers. The co-founders behind design label Bob Foundation came up with 'wall frames' - multimedia artworks juxtaposing prints and photo frames aiming to break out of the claustrophobic mundane aspects of life and at the same time decorate our walls.

'The idea is to have a wall within a wall and a frame within a frame,' said Hiromi (pictured left with Mitsonori), pointing at one artwork hanging on the wall, featuring a picture of their friend's home in Sweden with a tiny photo frame embedded in the middle of the print.

'We wanted to decorate our own wall at home. We take photos of friends' homes all the time. The images give you a very homey atmosphere,' she said.

Their works are exhibited at Kapok store on Sun Street until Thursday. The artists were in town to meet and greet fans last Friday at the store.

The graduates from Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design said working with their better half was a blessing.

'It's easier to work with [Hiromi],' said Mitsunori. 'We understand each other [without saying much].'
