Tree collapses at Yuen Long playground

A 10 metre-tall tree, not on a government list of unhealthy and risky trees, collapsed at a Yuen Long children's playground where revellers were celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival early yesterday. No one was hurt in the incident at the playground in Yuen Long Hong Lok Road at about 12.15am. Workers removed the snapped tree before dawn. The government has identified 2,000 trees as posing a risk.
