Lunchtime visitors to the City Hall foyer are in for a treat each month during the Hong Kong Sinfonietta's season of 'One Hour Classics: Good Music This Lunch'.
Admission is free and the Tuesday concerts are ideal for those seeking a respite from work and the lunch-hour rush, with audiences welcome to bring along their own food as they listen to the Sinfonietta's musicians.
The next performance is on October 19, with violinist Joseph Vickers, Masami Nagai on double bass and Eunice Chow Yuen-ting on the piano playing Bottesini's Gran Duo Concertante. This will be followed by Mendelssohn's Piano Trio No 1 in D Minor, Op 49 with Le Hoai-nam on violin, Park Si-won, cello, and Helen Cha, piano. Performances are scheduled to begin at 12:45pm.
