The amazing Xinjiang Acrobatic Troupe of China will make its Hong Kong debut as part of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department's 'Cheers' series of performances.

The troupe was founded in 1962 and comprises Uygur, Han, Kazak, Hui and other ethnic groups who perform a dazzling array of acrobatics, conjuring, comedy acts, folk songs and dance.

The acrobatic drama, Hello Nasirdin Apandim, will be performed at Sha Tin Town Hall Auditorium next month, featuring a performance of the dawaz (aerial tightrope walking) of the Uygur and other acts from a troupe that has been listed as a protected cultural heritage, won many national and international awards, and has been entered into Guinness World Records 15 times.

Other acts include rolling with lamps, kicking and balancing bowls on a tall unicycle and flying cards.

The troupe has toured in more than 20 countries and regions, including Pakistan, India, Canada, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Thailand and Malaysia to great acclaim.

Performances include acrobatic stunts, conjuring and song-and-dance from Xinjiang to provide an exotic showcase of Uygur culture.
