Soundbite 'At the inter-school competition in 2008, my school finished just one point behind title holders Diocesan Boys' School. I hugged my mum and cried at the pool when I knew the results. I hope my school can break Diocesan Boys' School's dominance over the past decade. As a team captain this year, I need to accomplish this tough mission,' Derick says. 'I set my first Hong Kong record [men's 100m butterfly] when I was 15. The previous record holder held it for more than 16 years. My schoolmate later broke my record so I'm waiting for a chance to get it back. Our team went to Hawaii for a training camp this summer. But I suffered food poisoning after eating some oysters. But with treatment I was better after one day.'
