Hi-tech fitness equipment and gadgets on display at fair
Interest in sports and fitness has grown with the excitement generated from the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, and next month's Asian Games in Guangzhou.
Sports Source Asia 2010 is an ideal trading platform for suppliers and buyers. Its 4th edition will run from tomorrow until October 29.
More than 190 exhibitors from 10 countries and regions are participating this year, including four group pavilions, from Ningbo and Zhejiang on the mainland, South Korea and Taiwan.
Hong Kong's exports of sporting goods increased 7 per cent to HK$27 billion in the first eight months of 2010, from the same period last year. The top five export markets are the United States, Japan, the mainland, Germany and Britain. The city's import of sporting goods was up 14 per cent from January to August last year.
The show's largest exhibitor is Fujian Hongxing Erke Sports Goods Co, which will display its latest collection of sports clothes and accessories.
Some of the exhibitors have chosen to have their stalls in specific areas of the fair, such as the Premium Zone, which highlights top-quality products with strong branding, and the new Fitness Zone.
