Former Miss Hong Kong Elizabeth Lee Mei-fung, who has 12-year-old twins, has a tip for other mothers - find a hobby that you are truly passionate about.

For Lee, playing the piano is her way to relax. Her talents came in handy when she was invited to perform at Estee Lauder's charity gala dinner (pictured) last week in the grand ballroom at the Four Seasons Hotel, in Central.

Lee showed off her piano skills in front of a star-studded list of guests including Fabrice Weber, president of Estee Lauder Asia-Pacific, designer Flora Cheong-Leen, her husband Russell Wong and a string of celebrity models.

Meeting the media backstage later, the socialite said she had been nervous performing for the first time in front of such a big crowd - although she certainly did not show it. 'My hands were shaking just now. But it's really supposed to be relaxing. Practising the piano makes me a more patient and determined person.'

The hobby has also brought her closer to the children, who also play piano. 'I can better understand why my children sometimes get frustrated at practising. Now, learning the piano, I feel like a teenager again,' she said.
