Taiwanese singer-actor Vanness Wu said staging concerts was on his must-do list after joining Universal. The 32-year-old (right) signed a two-year contract with the record company in Hong Kong this week. In the next two years, beyond producing two studio albums, Wu hopes to organise concerts in the city and Taiwan. 'It's something I'll request, since I haven't done any concerts for so long. I miss the stage so much,' he said. A member of boy band F4, Wu released three solo albums during his stint with Sony Music Taiwan. He also teamed up with Korean star Kangta for the duo Kangta & Vanness in 2006 and released his debut Japanese album in Japan this year. The singer said his new album was in post-production. Asked if he worried about scenes involving explosions after Selina Jen of Taiwanese girl group S.H.E. was badly burned by an explosion while shooting a scene for a television series on the mainland, he said: 'After making a number of action movies - my second movie [Dragon Squad] also had a lot of shooting and explosions - I'm somewhat worried about safety.' Wu, who plays an Interpol agent in Dragon Squad, added: 'Safety is the priority for everyone. I don't want to see any accidents happen to anyone. I hope Selina recovers soon and returns to the stage.'
