The host team always gets the best cheer at the Kowloon Cricket Club, but this year there will be an added reason to support the hometown heroes with the tournament's official carrier, Jet Airways, offering discount flights and rock-bottom prices if Hong Kong win the Cup, or reach the final. In a novel marketing move, India's second biggest airline will also offer bargain deals if India, South Africa or Sri Lanka lift the Cup. If India win, fans can buy a return economy ticket from Hong Kong to Mumbai or New Delhi for HK$1,666, while a business-class ticket will cost HK$7,666. The same deal applies to Colombo if Sri Lanka win. If South Africa retain the Cup, a return economy ticket to Johannesburg will be HK$2,666, while a business-class ticket will be HK$16,666. If hosts Hong Kong win or reach the final, all the above discounts prices will be available for fans who will have to produce a Hong Kong Sixes ticket stub to be eligible to buy into the bonanza. In addition, all ticket holders will also be able to get a discount of HK$666 on all fares from Hong Kong to Mumbai, Delhi, Johannesburg and Colombo - all destinations of Jet Airways - irrespective of whether India, South Africa, Sri Lanka or Hong Kong win the event. Bharath Mahadevan, Hong Kong regional manager for Jet Airways said: 'We want to get involved with the spirit of the weekend and are doing our bit to promote the Sixes in Hong Kong as well as in India.' So there will be added pressure on Hong Kong to win the tournament for the first time? Hong Kong Cricket Association chairman Dinesh Tandon said: 'A discount of HK$666 would mean that theoretically the spectators now enjoy more than a 90 per cent discount on the Sixes ticket.'
