Crab eater critically ill with flesh-eating disease A 51-year-old man, suffering from necrotising fasciitis, or flesh-eating disease, is in critical condition at Tseung Kwan O Hospital. The Centre for Health Protection said he injured his left hand while handling live crabs at home on Monday. He developed fever, and next day was admitted to hospital where he had an operation to ease the swelling on his hand. However, the wound became infected with the flesh-eating bacteria. Crash driver arrested The driver of a dump truck was arrested for dangerous driving after his vehicle crashed into a cordoned-off section of the Kwun Tong Bypass in Kowloon Bay, injuring two workers. A 38-year-old worker was in critical condition and his colleague, 29, in stable condition in United Christian Hospital. Murder victim was hit on head Tang Lo-loi, 73, who was found murdered at his home in Ma On Shan on Wednesday, died from serious head injuries caused by a blunt object, police said. Woman hit by minibus A woman, 75, escaped serious injuries after being hit by a minibus in Junction Road, Kowloon City. She was treated for minor arm and leg injuries at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Concrete falls on security guard A security guard, 65, suffered head injuries after he was hit by falling concrete at the Wah Yuen Building in Queen's Road Central. Four sought for attack Four men, aged from 40 to 50, are being sought after a 25-year-old man was assaulted in Tam Kon Shan Road, Tsing Yi. The victim was treated for mouth and nose injuries at Princess Margaret Hospital. Jogger collapses and dies A man, 50, collapsed while jogging at Tsing Yi Sports Ground on Wednesday night. He was declared dead in hospital.
