In a tribute to the power of the internet, Taiwanese YouTube sensation Jimmy Lin Yu-chun flew in to Hong Kong to perform at the Yahoo! Big Chair Awards this week at the Conrad hotel in Admiralty. The event honoured the most creative Web ad campaigns chosen from more than 420 entries from all around Asia.

'I'm obviously a huge fan of the Web,' said Lin, 23, who was voted off Taiwanese talent show One Million Star earlier this year but then shot to fame after a video of him singing Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You garnered more than 8.9 million views on YouTube. 'I'm getting less and less nervous about performing,' Lin said. 'I'm also coming more into my style - the bow-tie is one of my signatures.' When told about Hong Kong's own Donald 'Bow-Tie' Tsang Yam-kuen, Lin said: 'It's awesome that I share a trademark with the head honcho of Hong Kong. I'm sure he has many more bow-ties than me, though.'
