How many shops does Europe Group of Companies have in Hong Kong and on the mainland, and how many more do you intend to open?
We now have four multibrand shops named Europe Watch Company, which are located in Hong Kong, Macau, Shanghai and Beijing. We also operate single-brand boutiques in the most prosperous cities on the mainland and in Hong Kong. They include Chaumet, Rolex, Panerai and Piaget. In future, we shall [continue to explore] opportunities on the mainland.
How does the company stay competitive selling multiple brands when a lot of brands are opening standalone shops?
Opening standalone shops is a prevailing market trend. Such a strategy is suitable to those brands with a huge and varied collection. As a young, passionate, sagacious luxury watch retailer, we put great emphasis upon developing EWC's image, creating our own retail advantage by carrying a comprehensive mix of brands that include, not only prestigious ones, but also avant garde luxury to satisfy different kinds of wants.
