ESF Educational Services, a provider of English courses that is associated with the English Schools Foundation, is offering Cambridge Young Learners English (YLE) tests at the Po Leung Kuk Castar Primary School in Tsing Yi, the New Territories.
'We have worked closely with institutions in the New Territories and we know there is a lot of interest in Cambridge English examinations in this area,' says Ann Pearce, chief operating officer of ESF Educational Services.
'Our new Tsing Yi exam centre is part of our drive to make Cambridge English exams easily accessible to students, wherever they live in Hong Kong.'
The University of Cambridge runs a series of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) tests.
There are three levels in YLE tests - starters, movers and flyers - which are aimed at primary pupils.
Students who obtain a flyers certificate are eligible to sit the Key English Test (KET) or the Preliminary English Test (PET).
