What is it about Graff timepieces that are special to you?
The shape of their cases, the cut, the crowns and the diamonds. These are details that make up the Graff DNA. The materials we use are rare and [creating them] requires expertise. Graff is probably the only brand today which does not compromise on the size of the diamonds used for its jewellery watches. Our MasterGraff Tourbillion, with pave diamonds, comes with diamond certificates for all the stones around its bezel, something that has never been done before.
What about your technology?
Graff watches are technologically advanced and we have invested in a lot of research and development since entering the watchmaking industry two years ago. For instance, the Grande Date version uses a movement that has been entirely developed by Graff and is only available in our watches. By next year, Graff will have its own chrono movement. For master complications, Graff is working with various partners, known to be the best in their fields, to develop specific complications based on our requirements - and only for us.
What makes Graff timepieces different from other luxury brands?
Graff offers a one-to-one service for our clientele. We have produced several unique pieces to answer specific requests. We've made pieces with larger diamonds, pieces with only large emeralds and those with specific dials and pave styles. Our customers are seeking the most exclusive service. Nothing is impossible. Graff is also looking at a niche market and wants to remain in the high-end. Hence, we have a very exclusive distribution network.
What kind of person buys a Graff watch?
On one hand, we have a classic clientele, buying Graff watches because they know our brand, they like the design and to be identified with our brand. The other is the type who seeks the one-to-one services to produce unique timepieces.
What is your favourite watch right now?
I like the ChronoGraff in DLC with pink gold finishing. The watch is distinctive with a 45mm diameter. However, the black tone makes it discreet and masculine. The scratch-less finish is convenient for daily wear and the white diamond crown gives a subtle luxury touch.
