Lieh Mak to quit early as ESF chairwoman

Professor Felice Lieh Mak is to resign as chairwoman of the English Schools Foundation at the end of March next year, six months before her three-year term ends. Lieh Mak, who has held the position since early 2004, said yesterday she would like to spend more time with her first grandchild, expected in a few weeks. She said her earlier departure would help the next chairman to get familiar with the post before board members start their terms in September.
