Reigning champion Gregory Bourdy crept up the leaderboard and into contention with a second-round 66 that left him at eight under. The Frenchman was looking forward to placing himself in the same position as last year, when he carded a third-round 63 and held on to take the title with a final-day 67. 'It was a strange day,' Bourdy said. 'I made a few bad putts but I made many good ones also. I finished well with three birdies in the last four. So, yeah, a good finish and I'm still confident for this weekend.'
