Xbox360 owners no longer have to envy Wii-owners. A couple of years after the introduction of Nintendo's action console, Microsoft has come up with their own motion sensing game play - Kinect. Instead of placing the sensors inside the controllers, or on a floor mat, the Kinect system uses motion sensors placed under or above your TV to sense your movement, so you can really get into the action. The sensors track your body's movement, so you can wave your arms to move the cursor on the screen, select game choices, and of course, play the games. So if you see a ball coming on the screen, you simply kick it with your leg, or block it by extending your arm. The best thing about the system is that you can use your whole body for game play, instead of waving around a controller. You should be about two metres away from your TV - a little more for multi-player games - so you need a big living room, which isn't always practical in Hong Kong. The system comes with some neat tricks, like face recognition, so it knows who is playing and will automatically turn on your character and settings. It also has voice recognition, so you can control some features simply by speaking. The Kinect is sold on its own for HK$1,169, or bundled with the Xbox360 for HK$2,499. Pros: your whole body becomes the controller, so you'll get a good workout Cons: need a big living room, arms and legs get tired much more quickly than with other game consoles
