Tomorrow, 11pm, Kee Club

It was once written that the wicked get no rest, and that certainly seems the case when it comes to the life and times of Peter Kruder.

The Austrian DJ hit paydirt when the sublime K&D Sessions (made with partner Richard Dorfmeister) notched up global sales of over a million in 1998. He's also had projects with Voom:Voom and his solo effort Peace Orchestra to keep him busy over the past decade.

And then there have been the residencies back home in Vienna and the almost constant touring - including four previous trips to treat Hong Kong clubbers at Central's Kee Club. But Kruder (right) is glad to report that it is all part of the game - and the path in life that he is happy to have chosen.

'Music is an ever-evolving art form and therefore constantly changing,' says Kruder, who is best known for producing a deep, downtempo version of electronic dub. 'My love for music always keeps me searching for the next sounds that excite me, and this is a necessity to keep things fresh. The audience is also forever changing due to shifts in generations, but it's always an amazing thing to realise that at the end of the day everybody is touched by great music.'

It has helped too, he says, that there is such a vibrant nightlife scene back in the city that he calls home. 'At the moment the club scene in Vienna is blooming,' Kruder says. 'The last summer had a lot of outdoor parties that I particularly liked. At certain moments there is almost too much going on for the rather small city that Vienna is.'
