Annie Liu's special Christmas wish is a beach holiday in Bali

It's that time of year when the city's celebrities encourage their fans to dig deep into their pockets for a good cause - and maybe drop hints about what gifts they want for Christmas.

Actress Annie Liu Hsin-you has made her Christmas wish.

'I want to go somewhere warm. My ideal Christmas gift is a plane ticket to Bali for a beach holiday,' said the beauty, who will be taking at least a week off work over Christmas.

Nevertheless, Liu will probably spend the holiday with family members in a somewhat frostier destination - Canada.

'After all, it's a festival and you should be with your family,' Liu said. So a ticket to Canada would be just as welcome, and even better if it is placed in a blue box tied with a white ribbon.

Liu was attending Tiffany's charity event at the 1881 Heritage shopping complex in Tsim Sha Tsui on Tuesday. She was among a number of celebrities, including actress Charlie Young Choi-nei, models Vanessa Yeung Tsang and Jocelyn Luko, who were invited to the brand's Christmas tree lighting ceremony and launch of a campaign in aid of Mother's Choice, which helps children and pregnant single women in need.
