In the letter by Moyreen Tilbrook ('A way to reduce female prisoner numbers', November 22), her original version said: 'Previously overcrowding prevented CSD staff at Tai Lam from enabling open visits; meant women were confined to a tiny glassed-in cage on their rest day; resulted in quite inadequate dormitory space and air, given the small windows and intense heat in summer; and, limited rehabilitation for many to a few classes before release.' Part of the published version altered the meaning by saying: 'Women were confined to a tiny glassed-in cage on their rest day, which resulted in quite inadequate dormitory space and air, given the small windows and intense heat in summer.' The error was made in the editing process.
