Lee breaks own Asian record

Asian Games gold medallist Lee Wai-sze broke her own Asian record in the women's 500 metres time trial at the World Cup classic in Melbourne, but settled for bronze. Lee (pictured), who set the record of 33.945 seconds in Guangzhou last month, recorded 33.939 at the Hisense Arena. Australian Anna Meares, the world record holder, won in 33.593, followed by Dutch rider Willy Kanis in 33.667. Hong Kong's Cheung King-lok and Choi Ki-ho came fourth in the men's madison race.
