Centaline to branch out in Taiwan and Singapore

Centaline Property Agency plans to expand its property brokerage business in Taiwan and Singapore. The first branch in Taiwan's Zhongzheng district will open in the middle of the month and four more will follow in the next six months. 'One of our colleagues submitted a proposal to the board and suggested Taiwan is a potential market for us to expand,' said Sherman Lai Ming-kai, chief executive of Centaline Group. 'His proposal mentioned positive factors such as the strong property sales and surging prices this year. More mainlanders will go to Taiwan for property investment. We are not sure about the potential of the Taiwan market but our colleague believes the prospects are good.'
